We have three type of phenolic resin in all.Following is the describle and specification. First one is common phenolic resin,it is novolak structure,mainly used in moulding compound ,insulating plate and binder with common specific. Second one is modified phenolic resin by cashew shell oil.There are obvious improve in the toughness of modified resin.It is friction performance rather good,the carbide make up of the surface in the course of friction have the feature of softness,soughness and not easy to drop.It can make the component and heat state of the friction material appearance equaly.At the same time,it is pliability is good in high temperature.Normally used in high temperaure resistance material and friction material.  Third one is narrow distribution of small molecules phenolic resin.The moldcular weight is about 1000-4000,it is a high-performance resin.Generally speaking,the higher of molecular weight,the higher of softening point,melt viscosity,machenical strength and it is relative function.But it is processing(flowing,soaking of filler,permeanbility and solubility) bad.So appropriate distribute the narrow small molecular is a key to keep the stable of phenolic resin is feature.This type of resin used in high comsumption insluating parts ,such as electrical,meter. The main charcteristic of the 3type phenolic resin as follow: 1. common typeappearance: flake, color: opaque,slight creamsoftening point:89-95°cgathering speed:35-45 swater:≤2.5%free phenol:≤5.6% 2. modified phenolic resin by cashew shell oilappearance: color:rosin or dark brownsoftening point:88-92°cgathering speed:39-42 swater:≤2.5%free phenol:≤5.6% 3.high-performance resinappearance: color:transpanent or translucentsoftening point:82-95°cgathering speed:about 40 swater:≤1.6%free phenol:≤5% We can adjust the above resin is gathering speed to 30s according different requirements.The softening point can be to 82°c.The lower of softening point,the longer of flow and curing time.
